Canon MF270 Scan doesn't work while printing does

I've been through a lot of printers and scanners and have not found another more frustrating than this Canon printer/scanner. I have to reconnect it constantly, and while it will print immediately from any device, it will hardly connect to scan to any device. I have to fight with it for nearly an hour every single time I need to use the scanner, and I purchased two of these for my home and office to use for work. I am wasting so much time with these machines that will not "connect" even though it IS CONNECTED. It doesn't matter if it's WIFI or connected with USB, it always gives me the same "Connect to the Computer" message. I have been through countless tutorials and threads and suggestions. I have reinstalled the driver over again and again, entered the password into the machine again and again to connect to the network. Of course I am past the return window, spending so many hours fighting with this machine that I can't return it anymore but I will never buy a Canon device again at this rate.

I think you should give Canon Support a call.  

Start by registering your devices in your MyCanon portal.
