I have a Canon LBP 1440 that has worked efficiently for 2-3 years until May 12, 2026 when Microsoft issued 2 new updates to Windows 11. Since May 12, the computer and the printer do not connect. I tried removing the printer and installing current Canon printer driver for LBP 1440 but computer doesn't see the printer. Anyone know of a fix? Many thanks for any suggestions.

Greetings,
I'm not aware of any recent updates that has affected printer communication.
Your first step should have been to uninstall the Windows updates. This would have allowed you to test if the updates were actually the cause of your issue.
How is your printer connected and to what?
I'm happy to provide next steps once you reply.
