I have a Canon ImageClass MF8580 CDW that worked great until after I install the macOS Monterey. Now that my computer updated, I cannot print. The print que states "filter failed." I print directly using a cable from my Mac to my printer. Any suggestions? I need help!

Hello GG8,
Now that you have 12.1 installed on your Mac, you will need to go to our Canon support site and download and install the scanner driver and the printer driver using the link HERE. Once both of the files have been downloaded and installed, you can click on the apple in the upper left hand corner on the Mac and go into system preferences. Once in system preferences, you can use the - at the bottom of the list to remove any old connections for the printer. Once the connections have been removed, you can click the + at the bottom of the list to open the add printer window and add the printer again.
Once the printer has been add using the new drivers, you can try printing to see if the issue has been resolved.
