Greetings,
It might be helpful to rule out a physical problem with the printer or comunications / settings issues with the computer or driver.
If you turn the printer off and fill the paper tray, then turn it back on, does the printer's display show a "ready" state? No error condition, etc.
If no, there could be a physical issue with the printer. (tray not inserted properly, Sensor problem)
If yes, there is likely a problem with communication or driver setting.
Note, if you have set (or changed) the default tray the printer is expecting to feed paper from, the driver could display "Paper Empty" message when you try to print.
Something else you can try to help identify the problem:
Place a document on the scanner glass and press copy, do you get a print out of your document?
