Hi, I'm happy with the printer and happen to enjoy more the 'Satin' finishing as compared to the 'glossy' one, as it introduces a nice texture. However, I cannot seem to find that option when printing from laptop through a wireless connection, hence I need to export the jpegs onto an SD card. No problems with this, in theory. However, in practice, from laptop I get exactly the size I want, but not so from SD – the image (though accurately resized from Photoshop) becomes a little bigger than the paper size. Is there any way to activate the satin option from laptop? Thank you in advance.

Thank you and my apologies for not including this info – rookie mistake even if I'm not a rookie at all! 😀 I'm running MacOS 15.2. I attach a screenshot of the printing menu. Thank you.

Hi giorgioti,
Selecting a print finish is only available when printing from the operation panel of the CP1500.

Thanks Patrick. Do you then have guidance on getting the 'printing scale' right when printing from the operation panel?
From MacOS, through Photoshop, I went through multiple attempts until cropping and resizing the image until getting right. Despite the size of the paper being 148x100, the right size and proportion eventually ended up being 138.2 x 93.4mm at 300 dpi – these numbers allows me to print at 100% without any significant crop of the actually printed image (i.e. no more than 0.5mm).
However, if the same file, with the same image size, is saved onto an SD card and printed from the operation panel, the default crop option cuts the image of about 50mm on all sides, and if I select the 'Crop' option that is the maximum I can get. This is done selecting the borderless printing option, of course.
Can you help simply suggesting the right size for the image? Or, on the other hand, whether I should keep it 138.2mm x 93.4mm in total but introduce a white border within that? I understand the printer is not aimed at professional printing, but even a casual phone shooter (that is likely less savvy than I am in resizing images in Photoshop) would not be very happy in having heads or feet cropped without reason, and Canon should have released a firmware update to address this issue.
Thank you.
