good settings for indoor ice hockey game...first time doing it. i have a t3i with a efs 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS II. looking to do real well, an maybe start doing it for some side money.....love to get some tips

How well lighted is this hockey arena?  Bright like a pro arena?  Not so much?

Why do so many people say "FER-tographer"? Do they take "fertographs"?

push the iso to 800 or better. meter the ice in the center of the rink and increase your f-stop by one or two stops. then check your exposure meter reading at both nets. if there is not much difference form the center ice reading you can correct in post. and yes, you will be shooting in manual mode to do this.
