So i see a lot of youtubers use cameras for streaming, i get that but where do they plug their headphones into? I thought it was into the mic they use to monitor their mic to make sure there’s no peaking but how do they monitor the sound that’s coming from their monitor say if they are watching a clip from youtube? Do they plug their headphones into the monitor or the mic?

Hi Nate,
It depends on the camera. Some models have a headphone port which allows you to monitor sound. The mic only input models have a gain adjustment or attenuator control. Some also have wind filters. Here is an example of what you might see.
