Problem with Canon Solutions menu

I have an intermittent problem with my Solutions Menu. There are times when I open the programme and try to select 'Scan/import photos or documents the programme shuts down and gives the message below. The version is 1.3.0 (1.3.0.207) I have also tried to check for any updates, but it tells me that the server is down and to check later?

Shutting the programme and reopening it again sometimes cures the problem, but at times I have to reboot my iMac.I have tried removing and reinstalling the programme, no difference.

 

My operation system is OS X 10.8.4 Mountain Lion. The problem was also happening with 10.6 Snow Leopard.

 

Any help wold be appreaciated.

 

It appears that I can't post photos, etc. from my Photobucket account, but it should read "MP Navigator EX quit unexpectedly. Click to reopen the app again." With the details listed below that.
