I have a Canon DRM140 scanner and it works on all of my computers except for one of them. When I plug it into this computer it comes up in device manager as "unknown device". I tried many things such as uninstalling it, uninstalling other drivers, installing the driver again for it, trying updating the driver software in the device manager but it always comes up the best driver is already installed "unknown device" or something similar to that. I figured out one way to fix it is to use a USB Hub then the scanner works. So, I was wondering what exactly seems to be the problem here with this computers USB ports? Thanks!
