My Scanner N670U will not connect to Win 7

I used the Scanner N670U for a long time connected to WiN XP, and thenVista,  and than Win 7. Recently my computer crashed and I had to install all the programs. When I went to Canon Support to download the Scanner N670U driver and software I was told Canon doesnot support Win 7 for this Scanner." Please call the 800 number for discount on a new Scanner". Does some have the driver for N670U for Win 7? I am not sure why canon doesnot support such a great product.

I dont think Canon has a driver for it since it's so old (came out in 2001 if I'm reading correctly). You might be able to find a 3rd party driver (like VueScan) as a work-around, but most of that software comes at a cost.
