I have been shooting Canon for about six years, and the mobile side of my workflow has evolved more than expected over the past couple of years.
started using the iPhone more seriously for behind-the-scenes documentation and quick reference shots during longer shoots. The question that came up recently was whether device condition affects photography use cases, specifically because I was evaluating a refurbished option rather than buying new.
I did some research into the refurbished iPhone Dubai market and ended up going through Sermobile after checking their grading process around battery health and screen condition. Two months in, the ProRAW output and display accuracy for reviewing Canon RAW files transferred via cable have been consistent with what I would expect from a new device.
The display quality point matters more than I initially expected for field culling decisions before transferring to proper editing. Having an accurate reference display on location has quietly become part of how I work on longer shoots.
For Canon shooters integrating mobile into their workflow, how are you handling the file transfer and quick review side of things, and has anyone found specific settings that improve color consistency between iPhone displays and Canon RAW files before proper editing?

I really don't have any field review except to occasionally do an in camera review so I can zoom in to verify a species. Then, most of my sessions are just anywhere from one to four hours, I'm assuming you are away from your home base for several days. That seems very tedious to me to transfer images to a phone for culling review. I have used an ipad for an overnight review before, I just don't trust the small images on the camera or an iphone to actually cull, unless it is obviously out of focus or a plained missed target, but I would still rather do that on the Mac.
