Re: Hello everyone

I'm guessing that you want to start a new thread to post a specific question. The Help Page link below should get you started with the procedure.

You might also want to spend some time checking some of the other topics listed on the left side of the Help Page to get a better feel for how the site works.

Re: Help with Canon PS SX50 HS Zoom Lever Problem

Hello,

This is my first posting. My SX50 is 4 years old, and has performed flawlessly until now.

My zoom lever does not respond initially, and then I get the designed response, only to have the lever fail again.

Is there a user fix, or do I have to take my SX50 to a camera repair shop?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

You'll get a better response to your question if you repost it in the appropriate camera forum thread. The link below will get you pointed in the right direction.

I would imagine that any attempt to repair would require at least partial disassembly, if you feel up to the challenge. It might be as simple as a bit of cleaning or re-seating an electrical connector. But anything beyond that should probably be handled by a proper repair center. And that could well exceed the cost of replacing the camera.

Many thanks BurnUnit.

Which would be an appropriate camera forum thread. Obviously, I'm somewhat new to this community.

From the home page click on Canon Forum, scroll down to the Camera section, click on the Power Shot thread title, click on the top left where it says NEW MESSAGE and Bob's your Uncle!
