Canoscan 9000F Mark II - duplicate pictures

How do I stop it from saving 2 copies of each picture that I scan.

Hi ladyccc,
I apologize for the delayed response.
The times I have seen this phenomenon before have been due to saving the image in one location, and opening it in another. For example, in the Settings section of IJ Scan Utility, you can select a save location and choose an application to open the image. If you save to the Documents folder and open from the desktop, the image will be saved both places.
