I have been receiving bot like comments from an Instagram account called Canon International and Canon Magazine. Both do advertise they are fan accounts. They gave me comments that are pretty much for "We love your feed Vespine! Message us for a feature!" I decided to message them, thinking they were a massive fan account that wants to help Canon photographers. This is the conversation (hopefully it isn't as crusty quality as it is on my post preview). But, to simplify in case you can't see or not interested in reading all of it, the account is run by a name named Mark who is charging for a promo. I stated I would think about a post feature. The account basically said things like, "I totally get that; being cautious with your finances is important! Investing in your growth can be a leap, but our promotions have a history of delivering great results. Think about how many more
followers and engagement you can gain, and how that could benefit you in the long run. What would you say might be holding this back from being the perfect opportunity for your page?" They keep trying to make me work with them and keep asking what I think is holding me back, classic salesman like tactic. My question is: Is this account actually willing to help? Is there something more malicious? Have you or someone else worked with them and what was your experience?
Here is their page if you want to look more into it. Thanks, Canon community.
