Anyone else have an order stuck at "Shipping Label Created" for over a week? (G7 X Mark III)

I'm honestly getting pretty frustrated.

I ordered a Canon G7 X Mark III on 6/28, and the tracking hasn't moved in over a week. The only update is "Shipping Label Created."

I've contacted both Canon and the shipping carrier, and they're pointing fingers at each other. The carrier says Canon still has the package, while Canon says they already handed it off to the carrier. So...where is it?

At this point, I've paid a lot of money for a camera that apparently doesn't exist, and no one can give me a straight answer. It's starting to make me wonder if anyone actually knows where my order is.

Has anyone else ordered a G7 X Mark III recently and experienced this? If so:

  • How long did it take before your tracking finally updated?
  • Did your package ever actually ship?
  • What ended up happening?

I'm trying to be patient, but it's hard when I've paid for something and haven't received any real updates. I'd just like some transparency instead of being bounced back and forth between Canon and the shipper because, right now, it feels like I paid for nothing.

If the shipping company is FedEX it could be anywhere in their system. I have had a few problems with them with orders from other companies.

I'm sorry to hear about your problems.  I recall I did have a longer wait than I would have preferred at one point, but the product did arrive.  I don't recall anything haven't ever taken a week.  If you have a tracking number you can call FedEx and they should be able to tell you exactly where the package is.  It sounds like you've done this and they are saying the package is still with Canon with only the label created.

You've ordered a in-demand item.  It is currently showing out of stock on the Canon site.  It is possible that Canon is awaiting shipment of product to fulfill your order.  If so, your options are to cancel the order with Canon and purchase from another vendor who has one in stock (at a higher price, it seems via a cursory look) or stick it out with Canon.  I have never had Canon cancel an order on me personally, but I suppose that could also happen.

And I've had FedEx route packages to the wrong places and deliveries get delayed by them as well.

I'm sorry not to not have any great suggestions for you, and i know how frustrating it is to have an "out of the norm" purchasing experience.   I hope it comes to you soon.

Have you received a tracking number yet? If so go to FedEx's website and  and see what information you get with the number. If not then either it has not entered FedEx's system or they have lost it. I have had to deal with situations like this with FedEx before. Just keep bothering both Canon and FedEX but in my opinion the problem is with FedEx.
