Best printer option?

So I bought a MG 7120 and it seems as though that is just so geared towards photo printing that documents are a challege to print. I am thinking about returning it but want to know what printer will seemlessly print photos and documents. Any ideas? The 6000 series is available at the same price but will I have the same problems?

The PIXMA MG7120 is designed to print quality documents as well as photos seamlessly; what problems are you having when printing documents?  Also, what operating system is on your computer?
