I need a new all-in-one inkjet printer with a rear feed and I need to be able to use it wired as my cable is unreliable and wireless does not always work for me. I would love it if it used the little ink bottles as I hear they last much longer than the cartridges (I'm sure they have an official name but I don't know what it is). I have spent hours today looking online for such a printer without any luck so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Legs1616! Our PIXMA and MAXIFY MegaTank printer models are the ones that fit your description. Most models include a rear paper feed and they all give you the option to connect it to your computer via a USB cable. You can check out our lineup HERE and if you've got additional questions, feel free to post them here!

Thanks, Danny~~~ I will go right now and take a look...I've had Pixmas the last few times, but didn't know they were available with the ink tanks...I hope they come with a USB cord! I hate having to fumble around and order one.....

I'll go ahead and tell you right now that our printers generally don't come with USB cables. If you want to connect via a USB cable, you'll need a standard A-to-B USB cable. These are usually affordable and found from just about any dealer who also sells printers, so be sure to add one to your cart if you don't already have one lying around from a previous printer.
Hope this helps!

Hi Danny,
Thanks for letting me know about the cable. I should have kept the last one I had rather that returning it with the dang printer! My internet is just too flaky to count on, so I like have the printer hooked up to the printer. Live and learn, right? You are very kind. I appreciate your help.
And Oh My Dear Gawd...I just read all the nightmare connection directions should I be crazy enough to get the
Pixma G3290......WTH???? You have to do everything with your phone? I just want to hook my printer up to my computer like in the olden days. Is there ANY mega tank all-in-one that actually does that? I may be stuck with those hideous little printer cartridges forever. I can tell right now I am too old to be living on this world.
Practically crying my eyes out, Lea

It's me again.....sadly scrolling down the page looking for a rear-feed mega tank printer that does NOT say" A printer connected to the USB port of your Mac, PC, AirPort Base station, or Time Capsule is not supported."
But I think I'm slowly realizing that if I want a printer that actually hooks up to my computer with a standard A-B USB cable, then I must break down and accept the fact that that baby is going to run on those darn little cartridges..........is that is sad truth???? If I could actually see to read the screen on a mobile phone, than maybe it could happen, but that just wont work for me. I will say your website is clear as it can be if one sits down long enough to peruse it properly. My heart is broken.
Lea, sadder that usual
