Have you enabled Bluetooth and WiFi on the camera?

My camera has an Airplane mode. I switch that OFF and enable WiFi and Bluetooth. Initial connection is BT to camera. Select the shoot option in the app and it switches to WiFi and asks to connect to the camera’s WiFi. I’ve used it where there is no service in the mountains and 30000 ft in the air while in an aircraft.
You can give Canon support a call at 1-800-OK -CANON.

Have you tried those subjects? You camera is capable of photographing those subjects.

For astrophotography a slight wider/faster lens, like a 14mm f/2.8, could give better results and a newer camera would have better low noise high ISO performance, but your gear will work.

Your camera/lens combination is fine for daytime landscape.

More specifics on your current problems would help with determining what advice folks could give you.

Well I want to do astrophotography without photo stacking star trails Milky Way maybe a Galaxy my camera Canon 4000d doesn't have a remote shutter button I have to use the app but I get no reception up in the mountains only got 30 seconds is 30 seconds long enough for one photo

To avoid star trails you will need to be using a shutter speed of 13 seconds or less at 18mm. The challenge will be the amount of noise you might get at the ISO required for proper exposure.

There are a number of apps that can be trialed to see if the noise can be compensated for.

The Canon Connect app uses the camera's WiFi system. You don't need to be connected to an external WiFi network as long as you have registered your camera and created a Canon ID when you have network capability. I use the app where I have no WiFi of cellphone connectivity.

You could also use something like this. There are a number of remotes like this on Amazon.

Are you remote from the camera or can you just set the 2 second timer and press the shutter button?

I can set the two second timer and press the shutter button

I tried connecting the cannon 4000d to the cannon app with no Wi-Fi connection and I can't connect with it it's registered I have an ID but still no connectivity with no Wi-Fi I have cellular service and still no connectivity
