Currently trying to use a Canon EOS 5D MkIV as a webcam with the webcam software. I am able to get it to connect and display an image shortly, but it will often randomly disconnect 10-30 seconds later, displaying the screen with a usb cable and a red x, before not being detected at all, showing the audience is waiting screen. I have tested multiple cables and had similar results. Windows 10.
Does this sound like an issue with my computer, software, or the cable/port on the camera?

Hi G1PT,
I'm sorry to hear the video feed from your EOS 5D Mark IV keeps dropping. To fully trouble shoot this we would need a little bit more information. Is the camera powering off when this happens, or if it is staying on what screen is the camera showing when the connection drops? Is this happening in multiple pieces of software, or is this only happening in one specific application? I see you mentioned this is happening with multiple USB cables, but when you tried a different cable did you also try a different port on the computer?
