volume control canon 80d

Hello, I am unable to adjust volume using the main dial in video playback using the 80d.  The manual says I should be able to do this even while the video is playing.  The only way I can adjust it is through the touch screen when the video is paused.  Can anyone help?  Thanks in advance.

Hello pix, 

You should be able to adjust the volume in playback even when the video is playing by using the main dial.  The only exception would be is if you have the camera connected to a TV screen at the time.  In this case, you'd want to adjust the sound using the TV itself.
