How do I change settings on my EOS 70 D so that my photos are 300dpi? Most that I have taken are coming out 72 dpi, even in CR2 file. im not able to change that to 300 Dpi.

You have to use external software, like Photoshop or ExifTool to do that. Since it does not affect the images in any way, Canon does not provide a tool to change it.

Cameras do not have DPI. There for it can not be set. Your camera shoots everything at full resolution. Only printers have DPI (dots per inch).
When you are in post editing and you save your work, you have an option to set DPI for printing.
