No response when I switch on 5d111 (fully charged battery).

No back screen, no top screen, no menu,no quick view, no live view, no automatic sensor cleen on opening or switchoff.

Sometimes can see lens focus, and will take a picture (cannot see it on screen when taken)

Last few days there has been no response at all. It seems to have siezed up altogether.

Before I send it in for a check up, has anybody any ideas.

regards to all concerned

Yes, I do.  Reset it to factory defaults.  Get a new memory card.  Make sure you have a good fully charged battery.  This can easily be a battery and/or charger problem and not a camera issue.  You might as well do these simple steps as Canon Service will if you send it to them.

EB
EOS 1DX and 1D Mk IV and less lenses then before!
