Hi everyone. I have a Canon 450D That will Not Format the SD Card. It prompts me that the card needs to be formatted, but when I try it will Not recognize the card. I tried with all my cards. I even formatted the card with the PC, and with my other cameras. and still nothing. Any advice.
Try looking inside the card slot for any debris in there that could be preventing a good connection. The contacts inside the card slot may be dirty or damaged. For a test, you can blow inside the cards slot then insert/reinsert the card a few times. If that works then get a good contact cleaner like Deoxit5 and use that to clean them for the long run.
