live view magnify not working

My 50D has had several instances of the magnify function in live view not working.  The button still works.  I can use it to view images.

Nothing I do seems to restore that function.

Any idea why this is?  It must be SW or some config conflict.

It was the live view face detection.  Someone in another forum set me on to that.  Live View magnify does not work if face detection focusing is selected.  Not sure how it got set to face detection.  I've never (intentionally) tried to used that.

Good to know, thanks for reporting back the solution once you figured it out.  Never would have thought to look for something like that.

Old kids and lots of pets, but I haven't caught them fooling with my camera. I probably have to blame in my own idiot fingers.
