live view disappears after I push button down halfway on canon EOS R6

Hi, I sent my Canon EOS R6  in to be cleaned and when I got it back, every time I went to take a picture and push half way down on the button, the model would show up for one second and then disappeared from view, both through the viewfinder and on the screen on the camera. I sent it back in and it happened again today. I have dozens of shoots next week because I didn't have a camera last week. Please, can anyone help me?

Take a photo of the error message.  Send the camera back for repair and include the photo.  Meanwhile, you may have to explore the possibility of renting a camera.

Waddizzle, there is no error message. I put my eye up to the viewfinder and press halfway down to focus. The subject immediately disappears and everything goes to black 😞

Ah, my bad.

  1. Does the issue occur with any lens?
  2. What lens(es) are you using?
  3. Are you using an EF-RF mount adapter?  If so, what brand?
  4. Do you experience the issue in Green [A+} mode, too?

Thanks, in advance.

It happens with any lens.

I’m using a 70-200 is 2.8 and a 28-80 2.8, no adapter needed to to get the lens

it did NOT happen in green mode ( I always shoot on manual)

The fact that the issue didn’t appear in Intelligent Auto mode is probably good news.  If so, this narrows the problem down to either accessories or custom camera settings.  I think it is time to document your custom camera settings and programming and then execute a full reset of the camera back to the factory resuslts.  In other words, it is time for a do-over.

Oh gosh… so I did do a reset on the yellow tool menu, is this what you mean?

Yes, it did. I’d there any way I can use studio lights in green mode ? Or no ?

Or do you suggest anything else?
