computer wont read camera in windows 7 and 8

I have a cannon EOS D20.   My computers will not read the camera when I plug it in.  I am using on one compyter windows 7 and the other windows 8.  Pleaes help, thank you.

Disregard

Not compatable with those versions of windows.  I had to change the setting on the camera.  

Pull up camera menu

*communications

*change setting to PTP.

View pictures through another program like Windows picture manager.  It works.
