I want to buy a Canon R5C camera, but I'm not sure if it supports focus bracketing. Could you please help me as I also do macro photography?

tnx ...

So, can I be sure? Because I want to finalize my purchase of this camera today… I couldn’t find any documentation on the net, which made me quite worried.

I'm puzzled by your comment.  Rick has already pointed you to the user manual, which is documentation -- in some senses, the definitive documentation -- and it's on the net.  So click the link, and go to page 235 as Rick said, and it's there.

I've never used focus bracketing in anger myself, but I have the R5C, and I can confirm that the menu options described in the manual are on the camera.  Bear in mind that the camera takes separate photos, and you're going to need focus-stacking software to combine them.  But that is described in the manual.

I don't have an R5C, but I own an R5, an R6 mark ii and an R5 mark ii and have used the focus bracketing feature quite a lot on all of those with my nature closeups. With the R5, which I assume will be closest to the R5C you're considering, does have the focus bracketing feature but you will have to stack the images in post processing. The easiest way to do this is to download Canon's free Digital Photo Professional app, which can be found on the camera's page under Software. When you open your images in DPP, look for the term "Depth Compositing". All you have to do is select the first image of the composite series, and DPP will know how  many images to stack. You activate it and wait a while. I also highly recommend downloading the DPP manual. It's a sophisticated app for free. If you have questions about focus bracketing or processing with DPP, message me in case I know the answer.

P.S. will you be using an RF or an EF lens? Not all EF lenses will work with the focus bracketing feature.

Thank you for your guidance. I purchased the Canon R5C based on my budget and got the RF 100mm Macro lens. I bought the camera for the dual fisheye lens, and I also enjoy macro photography. It’s interesting—I didn’t know focus bracketing could be useful in nature photography as well. You explained it beautifully.

I'm glad to help. Congratulations on your purchases! I use my RF 100mm macro more than any of my other lenses. The dual fisheye sounds like a fun and interesting lens. I have the EF 8-15mm f/4 L fisheye which I enjoy a lot.
