can't transfer pics

Hi,

Im trying to transfer pics to my laptop.

I downloaded all the softwares needed, but when I plug in the camera to the computer it says 'busy'.

What can I do?

1. do you have EOS Utility 2 installed?

2. when you connect the camera does Windows recognize it?

3. do you have a card reader?

2. Something needs to show up? I don't see anything.
3. No, I connected it with USB cable

Is the cable a Canon cable? Some cables are charging only. You need a data cable.
