beeping continously with red light 1300D

okay i need some help, when i go to press the button to take a picture after focusing it beeps with a bright red light continuously slowly getting faster  for about 10 seconds before taking the picture, anyone know what this is and howto stop it??

It sounds like you are in self-timer mode which allows you to set up the camera to take a photo and then step into the frame.  Check your manual for self timer and exit this mode.  It should have options for a 2 and 10 second self timer.
