Will the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens fit a Canon Rebel XSI (aka EOS Rebel 450D)

Found a lens I really like, but honestly I am not savvy when it comes to knowing which lens fit what, especially when it comes to older cameras. I could easily find info on what fits a Mark IV but for some reason, info on the EOS Rebel series is harder to come by (or maybe I just don't know what to look for?) I really love my Canon Rebel XSI/450D despite it being an older camera. It almost shoots artsy images in my opinion and is closer to a film vibe than some of the nicer cameras I use for work. Will the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM lens fit my camera? If not, what is a lens around a similar price that would fit?

Any EF lens will fit on an EF-S mount. But an EF-S lens will not fit on an EF mount. So you are good to go. I use my EF 50mm (And my EF 70-300mm and my Tamron 150-600 mm) on my Rebel with no issues.
