Hi guys
Im in the process of moving my photos
onto a laptop - from my old ipad - so I can use DPP4 for editing.
The laptop is an Acer 1080 Full HD.
But it says it doesnt support the canon connect app - but Ive managed to download DPP4.
Im using an EOS 90d in the UK
Am i missing a simple trick - any easy routes around this will be welcome.
Thanks
Ramsden

Greetings ,
The Canon Connect app is installable on mobile devices, not for a PC.
If you want to move pictures from your iPad to a computer, log into iCloud and download them from there.

Welcome!
Mobile devices use the Canon Connect app to connect to Canon cameras. Computers use the Canon EOS Utility to connect to Canon cameras. Neither is used for photo editing.
The Canon DPP app is used for photo editing. There are separate versions for mobile devices and computers.
You don’t need any of the Canon apps to move your photos from a phone to a computer. If your photos are stored in the Apple iCloud, then you may need to install the Apple iCloud app on your computer so that the two devices can share photos.
Note. The Canon DPP app for computers isn’t able to sync or edit photos saved on the Apple iCloud. You need to create a separate folder to store copies for editing.

Thanks Waddizle
I have transfering them over this afternoon - but also have some on the icloud, but not all. I think what I'll do is store my old photos on the laptop and just download the new photos to the folder. Its so frustrating because DPP4 stopped working on my ipad, hence me shifting to the lap top. My ipad is about 10 yrs old and works fine - but Im waiting for the nod that its getting too old.
Thanks
