You can download one from Canon service & support & print out the pages you need to learn. I usually do that before even buying.

THAT is an excellent suggestion that all people should follow before buying indeed. We do it as well.
One BIG problem with very new / recent released cameras, though, (not the case of 5D2 which is 4 y/o) is that manufacturers usually make the electronic version of the manuals available for download some weeks AFTER the camera is ready for pre-order or in stock.
We certainly don't understand nor share this marketing "strategy".
Everyone should know well what is going to buy to take a right decision.
