T5i screen not working when in viewfinder mode.

Hey everyone,

I'm having trouble with my t5i. whenever im using the viewfinder, the screen doesnt work. that includes pressing the q menu button and after taking a picture theres no preview shown. Live view mode the screen works perfectly.

is this an option i might have turned off accidentally, or could this be a software glitch.

There is a sensor below the viewfinder that turns off the screen when you are looking through the viewfinder. Sometimes the eyecup slides down and covers the sensor. Make sure the eyecup is in place.
