Shutter will not stop.

Canon Rebel SL2

When I was out shooting, just now, working in manual mode,  the shutter started clicking, non stop, very fast.

  • I went to another shooting mode, with no change.
  • I turned the camera off, then on.  No change.
  • I removed the battery, waited a while, replaced it and restarted the camera and still the camera started clicking away.

Has this happened to anyone else and were you able to fix it?

Just found something jammed under the button on the remote. All is good.

Thanks for reporting back on the cause of your problem. You got off pretty easy this time. All camera problems should be so easily solved! Smiley Happy

That was encouraging. I was almost too embarrassed to post, but I cannot be the only one to panic with a new(ish) camera. Speaking of which, I am about to post another.

If you thought this would reset the camera, it won't.  You would have to leave it out for a very long time.
