Serial number(s) for old EOS D30 not accepted

I am trying to download software and drivers for my old Canon EOS D30 camera from your website, but your website does not accept the value 0xxxxxx11 as a valid serial number. I even went to a resale shop and found an identical model/instance with the serial number 0xxxxxx41, but the website does not accept that value either. What's up? Your website does not allow me to download any software/drivers/etc unles I feed it what it considers to be a valid serial number.

Beg to differ. Canon Europe currently makes several applications available for the EOS D30, but I'll take it up with them.

My PCs can run either the Windows 11, the Apple Mac Sequoia, or the Linux Ubuntu operating systems. Linux Ubuntu comes with a built-in application called Shotwell that communicates with just about any DSLR camera (including the Canon EOS D30) and controls it through its USB port. I have proved it out on my camera: I am able to download and erase any images/photos I have created in my camera.

The EOS D30 was discontinued years ago. Canon no longer supports it either.

For clarification, Canon USA no longer supports that camera. While our community members may have recommendations, we do not have support or downloads for that model on our website.

Hope this clarifies!

Which software do you need?

Didn't work with my D30 either. And you don't have any pictures online or on your hard drive from other Canon cameras you owned that you can get EXIF and the serial nr from?

Yes, but nothing that will get me the software I want. However, isn't it a fact that what I'm running into here is a software glitch in Canon Europe? Their website fails to recognize EOS-D30 serial numbers that are prefectly valid. Isn't that a simple fix for them to implement? I mean, somewhere in their software/database there's a list of valid EOS-D30 serial numbers, and it's faulty/incomplete.
