Returning raw files to eos80d

Hello friends. I would like to return some raw files to the camera in order to process them into “watercolor” jpg. However copying them onto the SD card the camera doesn’t find the files. Any tips?

Thanks for all the thoughts.  Unfortunately it doesn't work with either raw (unedited) or jpg.

Reformatting the card could not have been good.  I do not think the camera “knows” there are files present.  I say take a photo, and force the camera to read that folder.

Oh, but it does. Smiley Happy

File Explorer in Win 10 transfers both jpg and cr2 back to the SD card in my 1D Mk IV.  No issues at all.  However, I did find out, they have to be cr2 files taken by the camera.  It won't read cr2 taken from a different camera.  Makes sense since all cr2 files are formatted differently form model to model.

So if you want them back on the original camera, there is no problem. Just a simple copy and paste will work.
