Recommendations for replacement of EOS 6D

AnnaPackAttack

I recently had my 6D stolen during a move and im looking to replace it. I loved the connectivity it allowed to my phone to automatically download photos just taken, my lens was probably my favorite part the Canon EF 24-70mm f/4.0L. I mostly do family portrait/babies at this point. I like landscape photography but don’t see it being a big part of my shooting moving forward.

Any recommendations? On what body to replace it with?

Hi Anna and welcome to the forum:
Sorry to learn your gear got stolen: however, on the bright side you now have an opportunity to get onto the current platform for cameras and lenses.  The DSLR platform is being phased out, and is essentially on life support as Canon concentrate on the R-series Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Cameras (MILCs).   They have created a range of excellent camera bodies and lenses, especially for full-frame models.

The equivalent to your 6D is the R6 series, and the current version of that is the R6MkII.  This is a full-frame, 24MP camera and boasts a lot of improvements over your previous body including, but not limited to:
Wider dynamic range
Face and eye tracking for find the eyes of subjects and follow them
In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS) that provides image stabilization on 5 axes from within the camera.  It can be used in conjunction with the Optical Image Stabilization (IS) of the R-series lenses to add even more stabilization, which is an added benefit of going to R-series glass.
It will use the same types of batteries as your existing camera and utilizes dual SD cards for data security.
The body is well sealed against dust and water and is solidly built, but smaller and lighter than the R6
The control layout is similar, but can be significantly customized to your own needs.

However, the body does not operate on its own and, while you can use your EF lenses via the Canon EF-RF adapter, Canon have produced an ever-expanding range of RF lenses that are absolutely excellent.  This includes your favourite focal range with the RF 24-70L f/2.8 or f/4 IS USM lens that is highly-regarded amongst event and portrait specialists.  Alternatively, they make an pair of excellent RF 24-105L IS USM lenses in f/4 and f/2.8 variants.
If you want an truly excellent super wide angle lens for landscapes and other uses, the equally excellent RF 14-35L f/4 IS USM is small, light weight and produces excellent results.

If you want to save some money, consider the Canon Refurbished sites where you can pick up overstock, but new items, box opened but unused, demo or show models - all 'good as new' and come with a Canon warranty and a discount.
So, on the Refurb camera site: Shop Canon Refurbished EOS R6 Mark II Body | Canon U.S.A., Inc.
and on the Refurb lens site: Shop Canon Refurbished RF 24-70mm F2.8L IS USM | Canon U.S.A., Inc.
the Shop Canon Refurbished RF24–105mm F4 L IS USM | Canon U.S.A., Inc.

and Shop Canon Refurbished RF14-35mm F4 L IS USM | Canon U.S.A., Inc.

I have the R6II body and the RF 24-105L f/4 and RF 14-35L lenses, and find them to be excellent and if you check on You Tube I am sure you will find a range of reviews on the other lenses.  If you want to download the manuals for evaluation:
c012.pdf (start.canon)  for the R6II  and User manual Canon RF 24-70mm F2.8 L IS USM (English - 16 pages)

There is a lot to learn on these new bodies, but they will richly reward you with features for the genres within which you operate.

Agree with Trevor, for the 6D the replacement is the R6. I would recommend to buy the EF to RF adapter and shop around for EF lenses. Overall you will find better price than the RF lenses and Refurbished RF lenses.

If you shop for Canon DSLRs you will find extremely good deals because Canon is not making them anymore but I would stick with buying a mirrorless instead of buying one of those old DSLRs.
