Red Noise on Canon R6 Mark II

furkankaraaslan

hey guys,

i love my r6mark ii but in some situations i see red noise, randomly, at certain areas of the image when shooting video (not in photo mode). I am shooting in clog3 always iso800, sometimes lower. no filter attached, no picture style, no baked in lut. Only in Editing I apply the Canon Clog3toBt709dWideDR Lut. In this screen grabs it seems not that distracting, but playing it you see it very much. I dont think it‘s a sensor problem, i think it might come from ibp compression. Because it is not always on the same place. Does anyone else experienced this? Of course you have to crop in to see it, but on a big monitor you can see it without cropping in. I also shoot with other cameras but never experienced this.

Greetings,

Based on your description, you are seeing this behavior in both video and still image photography?

What lens or lenses are you using?  Does it happen with all of them?  Are you using any filters?

Are you using any Picture Styles or shooting in a creative mode?

Last question.  Where was the 4th image shot?

Greetings,

Helpful for reference:

Canon : Product Manual : EOS R6 Mark II : Canon Log Settings (start.canon)

Camera settings.  This may or may not cause an issue:

Noise may appear at image edges if [Peripheral illum corr] in [Shooting: Lens aberration correction] is set to [Enable] when Canon Log is set.

Forgive me, I don't have an R6 MKII, The LUTs I see for the R6 MKII are.

this definitely fixes the noises in the corners of the image, thank you.
