Rebel T6 with Strobes

Assisting a client get set up with some strobes to accomplish some basic work they need to do. They have a Rebel T6 which I discovered does not have a pc outlet to plug in strobes. Tried utilizing the pop up flash to fire the strobes, which have built in slave. Will this camera work with a hot shoe adapter with a pc connection?

You probably need to turn off ETTL so that it does not fire the pre-flashes.

Or get triggers for the strobes that ignore the pre-flashes.

I don't know since I never have tried it but I would not choose a T6 for this kind of work. Optical slaves are not super reliable.
