Rebel T100 shutter constantly closing

When I turn on my camera it immediately starts making a shutter sound, if I take off the lens I can see the mirror flipping nonstop. It's not taking pictures as far as I can tell. The buttons don't seem stuck but I tried to clean them anyway. Taking the battery out doesn't help, it starts again as soon as I put it back in.

This camera is fairly new, from October, I got it for work so I'm not really an enthusiast. I don't know much beyond point and shoot so it's hard to even Google the problem so feel free to ask for any more info I can give

Thanks so much for the help 🙂

If it was purchased this past October, then it should be under warranty.  You would need to contact Canon Support for possible service and repair on the camera.
