Realtime Exposure Zebras For Stills Photography in the Canon EOS R5 Mark II

Would Canon consider adding as part of their next firmware update for the Canon EOS R5 Mark II zebra patterns providing a real-time exposure overlay during stills shooting, which is already available for film shooting. This feature would help users to visually see any highlight issues during stills photography which would make it highly effective for ETTR – exposure to the right workflows. Many other brands have made this offering available to their customers, one brand even has a highlight priority metering mode, so it would be beneficial if Canon could do the same.

It is entirely possible and highly logical for Canon to add live zebra patterns for stills shooting to the EOS R5 Mark II via a future firmware update. Historically, Canon has used firmware updates to  EPass com port video-centric exposure tools over to the stills side. For instance, they previously added a false color overlay for stills to the original EOS R5 via a firmware update—a feature that, like zebras, was originally reserved exclusively for video and cinema workflows.

Thank you for the suggestion, have done that as well, though not sure it is such a good place as this, but we can only hope. Don't forget to like my post!
