Does anyone else have a shutter button that looks like this on their R8? I bought this camera from Adorama as an "Excellent" condition used camera.

It looks like it may be part of a skin that was applied to the camera.

Agree with John, to my knowledge the shutter button is smooth.

I am new to cameras and I did not know what a camera skin was … I looked it up. I see what you are saying, however it doesn’t seem like a covering … it is etched on the button itself, or appears to be.

Ahhh, problem solved … at a closer look, it is a vinyl application, just a sticker. Thank you for the replies.
