What is the rationale for Canon changing this? I would think they would encourage creativity rather than restrict it. I am glad that my R6mii allows me to finally use my RF24-240 to take multiple exposures, but the fact that I now only have a .jpg to process afterwards almost makes it useless. Is there any hope that Canon will change this or a way to let Canon know that it was a poor move to change it? #R6mii #multipleexposure

Greetings,
This is expected behavior. Please see this article. The answer to your question is about 3/4 of the way down the page.

Thank you for your response. However as “expected” as the behavior is, it is a change from the behavior of the original R5 and R6 and is a downgrade in quality. It is useless for dedicated multiple exposure photographers to have their in-camera output be a .jpg and takes away much of the versatility of the camera for that use. My question was more to ask how can I contact canon to register my displeasure at this. No one buys a camera of any quality and expects that the functions will be downgraded not upgraded.
thank you again for your quick response

Ms2thdr,
I could be wrong, but it seems like with Canon, any time you combine images the resulting output is a jpg.
At least , on my camera, a T8i, if I use the "special modes" (Highlight Back Control or HDR) the resulting output is a jog.
