On the Canon R5. Is there any way to keep the livescreen ON when the camera is near your face? I wanted to use a loupe for focusing on star photos but cannot because the screen goes off as soon as I put the loupe and my face up to the screen. TIA

This doesn't solve the problem though. All the bottom choice does is turn off the viewfinder. Is that the only way to accomplish this?

Is the screen open? That seems to be a requirement for it to stay on. I don't have this camera, so I can't test it here.

If all else fails, does putting a piece of tape over the sensor do what you want?
