Whenever I try to transfer photos using the canon camera connect app it won't connect and a notification pops up saying "something came up. The application has canceled the request to choose a device"

In order to better assist you, we would need to know what smart phone device you are trying to connect with your camera, as well as what version of the Operating System it is running.

Is this your device? I’ve never heard of Oneplus before. It does not seem to be running an actual Android OS. You just might be out of luck with that brand and operating system.
