R1 Waveform or histogram in video mode

My first canon RF camera was the R5ii and it has the ability to turn on waveforms while recording video. I'm surprised to find out R1 doesn't have waveforms. It even turns off the luminance histogram when recording starts.

R5ii seems to be more functional and better camera compared to the R1.

R1 beats the R5ii in 2 categories form me. The ergonomics of holding the R1 is nicer. The low light performance of R1 is a lot better than the R5ii.

I suppose that is the trade off. R1 and R5ii have the same size sensor but R1 has 24 million pixels vs R5 has 45 million pixels within the same area, which limits the light each pixel receives making R1 function better at low light. At least that is my understanding of things.

Canon be kind and add waveforms to the R1. I'm pretty sure the camera is capable of doing it. It's just a matter of your developers working on it. I have to say I would like to see Canon updating it's camera firmwares more often. Like once a month. They can fine tune their subject tracking, add voice search for settings (would be so much nicer to press the button and speak the setting you want to change instead of digging through menus. I get it you use the camera long enough you know the ins and outs. However a voice controlled settings could make changing settings faster and less frustrating.
