Quick Control Wheel on my Canon 7D is not adjusting the aperture or shutter speed in M. Tried changing it to operate on the Main Control Dial and both aperture and shutter will work independantly when I make change, but the Quick Control Wheel will not control either. Any ideas?

Tripple check that the switch for the Quick Control wheel is ON. I had several instances where it was just a tiny bit out of the ON position with my 20D with similar issues. Flip it through the positions & back to ON & see if that cures the problem.
