I'm on the lookout for a good compact camera for documenting family.
Seems like R8 is really the best value overall. Another one I like is Lumix S9, but it does not have enough pancake options yet.
I'm eyeing for the RF 28mm F2.8 pancake to pair with the R8.
But I'm worried if it will be shaky when shooting videos. I wont be vlogging, but mostly do static shots and subtle pans.
Not planning to use the enhanced digital IS. But wondering if even the normal digital IS will produce those blurry artifacts with 1/50 shutter.
It would be great if anyone could share their experience using this combo for this use case.

zexex,
As I understand it, the smoothest action comes when you set your shutter speed to 2X your frame rate, So, if you are shooting at 24fps, 1/50 should be good.
I personally disabled the video digital IS, but that was because I didn't like the additional crop factor.
