My t6 focuses slow in screen mode.

Howdy, I'm new here, I have a problem with my t6. It focuses fine in view finder mode. But in screen mode it wants to keep focusing for while before it's ready.
It wants to focus like that even if I'm taking a second picture on a trip pod.

I think what you are seeing could be normal behavior for that camera.  I had a T5, which is the identical camera minus the Wi-Fi, and it was slow to focus in Live View mode.  If you do not want it to refocus, then switch the lens to MF.

I would always manual focus when I used Live View on a tripod.

Thank you, that makes me feel better. I bought my T6 used and I was hoping I didn't get taken. I do only use the veiw finder, but sometimes in certain situations it's easier to use the screen.
