My camera LCD will not display live view.

My camera LCD will not display live view. It displays the menu and info prompts, by nothing else...I can see backlight on screen but no live view or photos...Also when shutter button is pressed, an error 30 sometimes pops up....Please help me if you can... Thank you

Error 30 is a problem with the shutter. 

It probably means your shutter is not opening properly.   That would explain why LiveView does not work, and why a photo can not be taken. 

Service cost might be approx $300.   Your camera has a used value of $300-$400 so it may not be worth repairing.  If it were me, I would sell it for parts on eBay "as is" for parts, and then use the proceeds to buy a newer camera.
